Wasn't Sure What I Was Writing, This is What God Told Me to Write...

My heart hurts, but yet it is joyful. How can this be?
Despite the pandemic and society bringing more dismay upon themselves by their fear-driven actions, Christians are called to be the calm in the storm. We are confident that the Lord has made this day, so we should be glad and rejoice in it - Psalm 118:24 (in my own words). Yes, I have spouts of anxiety, just like you. But I am reminded that God says to not have anxiety, to cast all my anxieties on him. Anxiety is in conflict of his Grace. In the Bible it did not say that we would not have hard times and see horrifying things, in fact He warns us of them. He says they will come. But, the Bible also says, "Do not be afraid," 365 times. So every day that passes (365 days in a year), "Be not afraid." For he is with us. He will never leave us. Do you know the cry that he responds to? He responds to "Have mercy on me Lord."
Many people ask, "If God is so good, why does he let bad things happen to us?" He lets bad things happen, so that we can be reminded that we need him. He brings forth good out of all bad things. Even some of the most anti-Christ people, will call out to God when they reach their most desperate times. That my friend, is why He will let it happen. We are stubborn children who want to think we don't need him. But that's the biggest lie one ever told. I mourn for those who do not know the Lord in a time like this, because they will be the panicked - anxiety stricken ones with no hope. We have hope, and we know that our time on earth is like a passing wind. My fear is not in the same Pandemic, my fear is in the Pandemic of hearts that don't know the Lord, or are not ready for him. That is truly the most lethal disease of all.
There is also many misinformed people out there. Those who are angry and don't believe in God and cannot see the good, or those that feel they don't need him or that there is no God. They do NOT have the same promises from God as those who have been born again in Christ. God has HIS PEOPLE, not all people. You have to surrender your life to him. You have to believe in him and that Jesus died to save you and paid the price for your sins. Unless you do that, you do not have the same grace, forgiveness, hope, freedom and other promises from the Lord. Satan has children of the earth as well, and they're foaming at the mouth in a time like this. All you need to do is declare that you need God and want him. Ask for The Holy Spirit to fill your heart.
If you don't know where to start, how to pray or just have questions or need someone to pray for you and help calm your anxiety - reach out to me. I would be happy to pray for you and talk to you.
This is my favorite passage from the bible. I turn to it at all my times of fear and it instantly calms me.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” - Psalms 23:4 KJV
I hope that it can give you comfort as well.
I love you all, and am praying for you. "This too shall pass!"
